so much for human rights

well, i dont really jaga human rights here, but this article just gets into my nerves. i know it's agak terlambat, and some of you might have read it, but i just want to pinpoint how silly these people are, even when they are the ones who champion Human Rights everywhere.

Banning burka or face covers from schools maybe has its own benefits la kot. in schools, a place where u need to learn socializing, perhaps its good to have a face to look at. but then again, not in banning headgears/scarves/tudung la kan. that is utterly of religious values.

so, i think in the heat of barking human rights here and there, and stalling most agreements with Ase*n just because we don't fit into their human rights criteria, banning anyone from wearing anything that they want to and believe in, is sooooooooooooo wrong!

sometimes, these people give us a hard time into finalising any agreement just because the whole region doesn't share the same human right values. alasan utk mcm2 agreement to be stalled would usually be the house arrest of Aung Suu Kyi. dia rasa kita ni tak adil.

but having them banning religious attires lagi la tak jaga human rights kan? so what is this? treating us like second class people? and we should uphold you rules, but u don't have to?

Article 18.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

Article 19.
Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

i think these 2 articles yg paling sesuai la untuk sesapa saja utk percaya any religion and practice whichever way they want it la kan.

btw, i dunno why i can't link the UN page to this 2 articles. tp kalo nak search gak, type aje la Huma*n Rights.

saje nak emo. bosan byk keje kat ofis. tu tak kira ada 20 naskhah suratkabo yg kalo boleh i want to buang aje. well, if not for me reading all these papers, i wouldn't be writing this entry, no?

ok, selamat membaca semua.

walaupon dah lama u put this entry tapi i still wanna comment on it..biasala kepochi..mesti nk have a say in everything haha..

btw i soooooo freaking totally agree with u la gf..i was pissed off as well when they post this rule n regulation abt banning scarves n whatnot..says it violates human right.what human right are we talking about? by restricting the muslim to wear whatever that they want?seriously its just a cover up to banish islam practices in western world..the next thing we know they will come up with ban on 5-time a day prayer because it violates and interrupt your daily life activites..

nini: totally la. banishing islamic practices could be one of it. after all, its our religion aje yg has been linked to terrorist attacks. agama lain takde link la kot katenye. huhu.

talking about that 5-time a day prayer ban kan, i thought i read somewhere in Malaysia, a company has done that. regulated that rule, but apparently diorg dah kuar statement kate it was misintepreted. sbb bg dia, muslims slalu masuk lambat time keje atas alasan gi smayang kat surau.
