trekking in the Forest

hi friends. i just got back from trekking in the Forest Auderghem. saje, isi masa lapang katanye. well nothing special about the forest, its just that i am in need of some outdoor activity so i decided to go, alone. well not many ppl want to be outside in this weather.

anyway, my story is, since i was alone, and i have never been to that forest, i thought i would want to make an attempt to roam around the forest, without looking at any map or GPS. i bumped into dead end several times. i was not sure where i was, of course all the time. but in the end, i managed to get my bearings. i mean, look Medcham, i may be lost in a convoy but i am sure to get my bearings right pretty quick. heheh.

along the journey, i came across some places i never knew existed. in any of my trip with someone else's car, or with the tram or a cab, i have never seen these places. and hey, i was pretty psyched by it.

pergh tetiba mcm malas nak elaborate cerita ni. anyway, cut the story short, in life, it is like this. we stumble upon dead end almost all the time. we persevere. we have to either turn around and get ourselves to the main road, or try to get ourselves across it. most times, there are so many things happening around us, but we are so engrossed into getting to the end, that we will just ignore the existence of it. only when we got lost, we would want to look around for signs, of how to get ourselves out of this limbo. this maze.

and i felt exactly that way. no, not the 'being lost' feeling. i felt wow, this is exactly like life as it is. i have to decide which junction to take, i have to bear with the consequences when it is a dead end, or when i come across a spot where people do artworks in there. apparently that was an abbey some centuries ago. despite the barren forest, not much leaves or greenery in it, there would be some spots here and there of the orangy-red (do we call it amber) coloured leaves that seems so vibrant that it almost gives colour to the scenery. and that also reflects life. in our dull boring routine, day in day out, there would be some instances that brings colour to your day.

either someone said 'hello, u should know that u r very beautiful' to u, or someone said thank you to u, that your smile lights up their day, or when u know u helped a person by giving that apple u just bought, these are little things in life that just brightens up the gloomy or ordinary day that u have.

a trip to the forest once in awhile keeps me in check i guess. i was thinking, in the end, we will find our way back. and obviously i did too. despite being 'lost' in the midst of the forest, i managed to get my bearings. and then, i realized, when i said, in the end i know i'll be going back, it means more than being back at home. it means, someday, i'll be back in KL, i'll be back to my parents and my lovable friends, and i'll be back to the grounds. to where i belong.

in short, in life, you are never actually lost. u should know that in time u'll get back to where u come from.

ok, gona leave you guys to ponder on it. in the meantime, saya mahu ke flea market. no, i cant delay this plan for another week. too excited. ;)
