papa said to me today on the phone, across the ocean and continent, that i should keep my friends at arm's length.
after what happened last 2 weeks, and what happened today, i should have reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally learnt my lesson. but i would always keep friends close to my heart. that is my problem.

but it's true, u know... at the end of the day, the only truest frens u can have are actually your own siblings.
this bad experience u had with ur frens might hurt u at first, but aren't u glad u went thru it now rather than later? it's a blessing in disguise, really...

betul la siblings are yr truest frens. in a sense. but somehow, at times, they can be hardest prick too. siblings -rivalry, -squabbling and all that.

i think i've received the same advice from my dad too and i have to say that it is true. you can never be too careful and another advice that comes after that one is family are the ones that will stand by you and always be there. but i guess it all comes down to what kind of friends you have and the relationship you have with your family kan?
