Dear Dena, and all my other single friends,
Let me just remind you people that just because that we are single, it does not mean that we are left out in this world.
Just because we dont have babies, pushing our strollers with all our mommy-friends,it does not mean we are no longer cool and will be excluded in all this mommy-gatherings.
Just because we dont have boyfriends or have boyfriends who wouldn't want to marry us just yet, we are totally korok and boring and unfortunate.
For all the reasons that led us being singles, we are actually fortunate in so many sense. God just haven't let us meet our better half or grants us kids just yet because He knows we can hardly afford our time and money for another being.
He knows that we are still the self-centred beings who love taking care of ourselves, still love buying good things for ourselves, we still need to go for facials and waxing and hair treatments and manicures and pedicures. we still waste time at the malls, watching movies, drinking coffees, eating cakes, browsing shops, buying unnecessary stuff like another unneeded watch, or bangles or earrings, or cards, or books and spoil ourselves rotten with chocolates, icecreams and the stuff.
He knows that we still think that we are still young and there is a life ahead of us that needs to be fulfilled. it can be our careers, education, possessions, whatever, u name it.
Well friends, dont get me wrong. I would love to marry someone and have children. i mean who doesn't? (Ina, are u with me on this? hhaha) but then, by not having all this just yet, i am sure there are proper reasons that God doesn't grant me all my wishes. or else i am just gona be spoilt.
So to Dena, dont think that you dont have any topics to talk about to your mommy-friends. it is THEM who doesn't have any topics to talk to u!
On the other hand, I have to give credits to MY mommy-friends, namely K-lynn, Yong, Nini, and a bunch of others. Apparently these mommy-friends are super cool that they talk about EVERYTHING in this world, with a bit of mommy-baby talk here and there. ;) that of course, doesn't bother me a bit! (owh but talks about weddings, yes! lol)
cheers to all my single girls, and to my cool mommy-friends. and to Dena, don't fret over it. your time will definitely come. in the meantime, do what u do best. PhD and shopping!

surely at some point, fretting about singledom is allowed but really, there are so much things to be done in 24 hours time 7. up to the point where i wondered, how am i to fit in for a guy and babies that follows?
