Marriage

i wonder why it is so 'in' to take marriages lightly.

i wonder why people no longer recognize the sacredness of such ceremony. i think marriages have lost its meaning when people no longer regard it as a sacred institution.

i am not here to preach. am just here to share my thoughts on what i perceive of marriage. i wouldn't mind if a person couldn't work his or her marriage out because it was not on consensus between both parties. now what i can't digest at all are those people who marry each other out of love that wouldn't mind sacrificing a wee bit of trust just for the sake of shortlived thrills and excitements.

open minded though i am, i think i couldn't comprehend infidelities. i am not saying that i am all saint and religious, but i am just so sad that some people take their marriages lightly. and when ugly situation arises in future, you just wouldn't know what to do with life and start regretting every bit of your lust.

i think one should know if one is seriously ready into being tied up to a commitment of a lifetime. perhaps just to spice up some life in you, flirting is indeed agreeable. but infidelities .. gosh! why put yourself into some misery of weddings and ceremonies only to have it abandon later and to be regarded as petty, unimportant, to have it sidelined.

if you think you have a lot more things to achieve and to do and to excite yourself in whatever adventures or sexual thrills that u would want to experience, try not to get married too soon. . owh, unless you don't regard your marriage as sacred, try not to break another heart that has tied to yours and jeopardise the whole holy ceremony and family institutions.

and please don't drag me along as an alibi, just because i am single and carefree , because i don't exactly share the same sentiment. thank you.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- The nation's first astronaut has admitted to accepting contributions when giving talks.

However, Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Sheikh Mustapha denies allegations he had received, among others, RM8,000 an hour for giving talks.

He said it was the norm for him to give talks in schools for free.

"I hope we can resolve this unfortunate incident (allegations) because its negative impact would affect my ability to continue giving talks to schools in the country.

"(Nevertheless) I have spoken to Science, Technology and Innovation Deputy Minister Fadilah Yusof and given a detailed explanation...and he was happy and satisfied with my explanation," he added.

Dr Sheikh Muszaphar was speaking to reporters after flagging off and taking part in the Sixth Batik Fun Walk 2008 here today.

Meanwhile, Penyayang chairman Nori Abdullah, who organised the walk, was exuberant with the number of participants taking part in the event, especially since some of the proceeds would be donated to the Penyayang Pesakit Kanser charity
