rubbish entry

did u guys read New Sunday Times last sunday? the interview with a Datuk Seri, one of our minister. ada baca tak?

anyway, in regards to that, i felt that the way he answered questions weren't too friendly and somewhat ignorant and irresponsible. there were so many things i'd like to oppose but mainly that struck my chord was the question regarding bloggers. (u guys could click at 'the interview' and read the whole sunday interview)

when he was asked whether he read blogs or not, he plainly said he didn't. he said that bloggers are not up to the standard and he said that was all rubbish. ahd he said that bloggers are minorities. and his only concern is for the majority.

first issue, bloggers are not up to the standard.

now which blog did he read ni? some myspacer frenster blog ke? and if so, what would a kiddo know in blogging about national issues? obviously bloggers of national issues are of matured and intellectual crowd. hence what kinda standard did he refer to?

2nd issue, it was all rubbish.

cmon, what rubbish? personal opinions arent rubbish. those are our check and balance. we need them. they might not be oppositions even. they love our country, hence they say what they think would be of the best interest for the country. i think it's kinda nasty for a 'mentri' to say such things. its totally arrogant and insensitive of him to brush away the rakyat's opinion. i think it's an embarassment to me, when i serve this government of mine, and yet i have a leader who is so bloody sombong and unthoughtful of what the rakyat thinks of our administration.

3rd issue, bloggers being minorities and his concerns are only for the majority.

well, we are the government. i dont think we should only be concern of the majority. we should be concerned of EVERYBODY and everything! every single thing/being on this land has to be OUR major concern. be it majority or minority. them being whatever, we should be concern. c'mon, we cared for our junkies, pushers, serial killers, naughty stupid kids in school, and yet, we couldnt care a bit anymore of our bloggers? that's bullshit man. totally.

so, now lega rasanya that i've put it in words of what i thought of this interview since sunday. no offence my dear minister. i dont hate u for this. but i think we should have had a different approach to encounter such issues.

after all, i am a blogger. and what i write is rubbish. so, take no heed. i am the minority.

I once bought a very good book called "Basic Principles of Politics". It's written by .. Prof Jose Moreno from Cuba if I'm not mistaken.

It's not too thick, in fact it's thin. The contents are presented in numbered point form - very simple and concise.

Unfortunately, I friend of mine borrowed that book and to this very day hasn't returned it. So I can't really quote anything directly from it.

But among the few most important principles that I can recall clearly are:

1) Politics is the competition for power.
2) Power is having your decisions obeyed.
3) In politics logic is not important, it's always emotion that will win the crowd.

So to get to achieve number 1) and 2) a politician would always take advantage of number 3)

Agaknya interviewee nih maybe belum cukup pro dlm fully utilizing number 3).

He din give straight factual answers - banyak yang nak ke arah mengapi2 emosi, even bila dia komen ttg bloggers.

Pjg la pulak komen. Anyway, if you're free maybe you can get your hand on the book. Kengkadang auta yang kurang jelas selama ini nampak lebih jelas. (I'm no expert, this is just my humble opinion)

wow... and wow again. that's what you get when empty headed people answer. but the thing with this guy is that, he never thinks when he talks... dari dulu lagi. (at least i think WHILE i talk.. haha)

does he even know that his fellow politician, of the same party pon ada blog? is that rubbish?

but one really should not be offended because what this guy said is rubbish too, anyway.

maybe that. maybe i shouldnt be bothering. tp the issue is, i rase malu. itu aje.

mcm dah la rakyat tak caya sgt dgn kerajaan (of late, do u notice?), now, u have a minister who actually jawab asal boleh aje. so now, mana kredibiliti kita ni?

and to have him say arrogantly if rakyat tak suka kerajaan BN, then just dont vote BN then, itu berlagak namanya.

and yes 47, i think the interviewer has balls when bombarding him such questions. macho la hang. :D

ke maybe becoz soalan interviewer ni direct sgt, till the menteri gets into his defensive mode? seperti saya dgn piggie in the office? (hmm ponder..)
