now who do we want to hate now? the world? the government? the soon-to-be-gone resources?
it's so easy to blame it on the government. after all it is them who determines the prices (of so many things). i am enraged with such huge increment (40% ok!) but what else can we do? we all knew that it was coming. USD130+ a barrel is insane. not long ago was only USD10. (i'll get the years to be exact once i am in the office ok?)
anyway, i have to admit, i indeed compiled all reports on price hikes and i have to tell u that Malaysia has the cheapest prices on so many things. yes, so MANY things. and i have to say, MOST things are cheaper here. and prices has been retained for quite some time, apart from it being politicized, it was indeed policy to ensure our livelihood.
so, it is indeed a matter of time that we should shed some burden of this anticipated issue. as it is stated in the papers, that subsidies have indeed took up a third of our national budget. so, i was just thinking, is that a bad thing? taking a third of the budget to subsidize your rakyat, is it a bad thing? and does the remaining two thirds are well-distributed and well-managed? are they being used on appropriate investments and developments? are those two thirds includes better public transportation, encouragement on installing gas tanks in our cars?
recession is indeed happening. i expect that at least an increment of gaji or allowances, which ever yg sesuai will take place, i hope all our other resources ie taxes, subsidies are well spent. i hope we didn't charge too low to any of services we offered, i hope the government ensures better public transportation by means that firstly, providing government servants free buses to work or at least an LRT from most populated governmental area (that is Sri Kembangan's Equine Park and Lestari Puchong), secondly, charged at a reasonable price, like only seringgit from KTM Serdang to KL Sentral, and all buses to all locations cost at around seringgit to 2ringgits, thirdly, as rapidly as its named, and better express buses to everywhere and relocate them elsewhere and no more puduraya. they stink! and dodgy! and faster keretapi so that i don't have to drive to JB anymore, but only to take keretapi back and forth dengan harga berpatutan dan with less time (no more 6 hours journey to JB!)
well, i am sure everyone is kinda pissed off with such increment, but just be ready for the next price hike. no point of migrating right now, since everywhere in the world is facing the same problem. ops wait, maybe there is a point, if we were to migrate to countries that needs no transportation to bring us around or transportation is almost meaningless, say the arctic maybe? hmm..
please pretty please there would be a kenaikan gaji. coz we so know that after harga minyak naik, after this all food items angkat naik harga, then all clothes will too, then all brands (Coach, Ferragamo, LV, Furla, hehehe just to name few relevant ones) would have devastating prices on its tags. and all tony roma's, chilli's, madam kwan's, the coast's, Rasa foodcourt and not to forget, mamak Precinct 9 kegemaran ramai would cut down their portions or increase their prices and most probably both! (erk, this could mean two things, i akan berjaya kurus by the end of the year, or i'll be more than broke (shattered maybe) every mid month. urgh!)

i guess i am pretty broke already la dear. oh mamak precint 9 pun pasti menaikkan harga. i wish for the gaji increment jugak. (perhaps everyone's wishing for that!)
no such thing for the moment, dearie...
what is certain, a state of broken-ness shall occur most certainly at times like these.
for me, a lot has to be cut. first shall be my food allowance..

aishah : gosh tell me la about it. pekata kita piknik aje la kat area mamak P9 tu. bawak air masing2 la next time. hehe.
shahidah : ade food allowance? wow, teraturnya expenditure mung. i'm not to sure which part is it that i need to cut down pon. ape ek. maybe jalan2 la kot. and that would mean, my duit minyak la kot. sigh.
*sigh* I guess we just have to change our lifestyles to adapt to the increment.. RM136 for a full tank? (shakes head furiously)
faruqy: frankly, i hate when that old man has to actually tell us to change our lifestyle. like from what to what? from eating rice to eat grass? i mean, not everyone goes shopping like crazy. ppl are not all spendthrifts.
from driving to cycling now? from lomographing that uses films to digital cameras and no need to print any? from extravagant weddings to no kenduri weddings at all?
pergh. emo lak pepagi ni. LOL.
but for a start, i might just not attend weddings la kot. haha.
